Cup of the Sea of Azov - Veteran Rugby Tournament
Taganrog, the port town at Asov Sea, with quarter of a million inhabitants is an important economic and cultural center of south Russia. The city has an extensive system of schools - from the Broadcasting University and the Pedagogical University to different technical and vocational schools and lyceums.
In addtition the city is known as a health resort with excellent recreational facilities. Taganrog rugby veterans organize regularly yearly the tournament under the name "The Asov Sea Cup". As the Organiser Alexander Rogochy reports for EVRA this year edition gathered the veteran players from MIFI Moscow, Rostov on Don and Taganrog. Nice weather, "high commitment" of all players and typical Third Halftime "dominated" the whole tournament . . .
Being the part of EVRA European Series in Russia Taganrog veteran club was awarded with European Series special plague for their contribution to the development of Golden Oldies Rugby.
