LES INDÉNDENDANTS du BRC WON E V R A SPECIAL AWARD

In 2006 following the idea of Patrick Dorchy, Guy Quaranta and the big team of BRC volunteers started the veteran tournament under the name of "Challenge Jean Paul Chéron".

Year after year the Tournoi become bigger and bigger and more international. In 2013 the Tournament, as the first one from France, joined EVRA Licor Beirao Series. In 2014 the organisers - Les Indépendants vets - won the special Licor Beirao EVRA Award as the club that organised the biggest and the most international European Series event (16 teams from 6 nations) Alltogether 16 teams took part, among them some that there were not only once in Beauvais, as for example The Dragons – Veterans of Barry RFC (Wales) that already for 40 years now are visiting each other on occasion of Five (now Six-) Nations games in Paris and Cardiff!

Scotland was presented by Hillfoots RFC Veterans from Tillicoultry, that are organising in August Open All Scottish Golden Oldies Rugby Festival in this small town on Devon.
