RUGBY AS NOT JUST A SPORT . . .
Saying this the players and the supporters do know what I mean.
The others either do not understand, or do not appreciate what I say, even sometimes it is for us - as a "caste", who believes to be better is also far away from the truth . . .
And we also know that the part of the rules of our sport is the need to support each other, to act as a team, to help teammate . . . and to pass "backwards" and running forwards aiming to reach the try-line.
No one is better than the other in our Game. Everyone must do "his part" to achieve the ultimate goal as the team . . . and no one can be excluded. These were the same principles on one October Saturday that "allowed" the Senators Virgil Old Rugby Club from Mantova to organize at the Rowing Mincio Sports centre the 7th Tournament "Sausages, Salami and . . . Oval ball", the Tournament that claims to have achieved its purpose, also this time . . . Petrarchi Vets (Padova), De Those Vets (Viorba), CUS Old Rugby Roma, Old Devils (Colorno), Front Crusaders (Trento) and the hosts from Mantova have contributed that the Tournament was a success. Fair-play games, right "competitive" spirit with the respect towards the opponents and the referees were the characteristics of the sporting part of the day. But also the spirit of solidarity, friendship, fun and "students spirit" characterized the whole day, as well as the "third halftime".
Surely the old boys of Trento, with the thick sound and with the group of supporters in tow, have enlivened the whole day . . . but all helped to remember this specific day.
