Saturday, June 4th at Punta Marina Terme , short distance from Ravenna (Italy), the 4th Summer EVRA Tournament took place, organized by I Passatelli - Ravenna Veterans Rugby Club.

The Tournament "gathered world teams"  (ten of them) , two from far abroad - Paclantic (USA), Les Blues de Gex (France) and the "others" were the Italians from different parts of Country - Old Kings Bolzano , Quei di Villorba, Old Babbions Settimo Milanese , Allupins Prato, Highlanders ZER011 Torino , Modena Veterans , Fano Veterans and the host team  I Passatelli Old Rugby Club, Ravenna.

The tournament was opened by the High school musical band that played the national anthems of France, USA and New Zealand - as the most of the Paclantic players are the New Zealanders . . .and of course the Italian anthem.

Like each year I Passatelli use the opportunity to award publicly the selected player of the youth teams with the scholarship for the Stage of Rugby and  the study in Ireland  . . .

The Tournament started with the Sevens Rugby match between the girls of Ravenna and those from Rimini, to follow then with twenty matches of the veterans. The games were of "a good standard" remaining all the time in the Spirit of the Old Rugby .The "third halftime" lasted until past midnight with plenty of music, good food and of course  with the "rivers" of Italian wine and beer.

During the "third halftime"  I Passatelli awarded with the Torneo Trophy  each of the participating teams. EVRA European Series plagues for the Oldest player went  to James Walker (70) of Paclantic, as well as to the host Team for organizing one more time successful and enjoyable EU Series event.

In 2017, the 5th edition will  have (approximately) the same date . . . teams interested for the participation please write to info[aet]ipassatelli.it Take also some "photo impressions" from our Tournament . . . see you in Ravenna next year.
