PARFUME RUGBY TOURNAMENT

Grasse (Dept. Alpes – Maritimies), France situated about 20 km north from Cannes, with today about 50.000 inhabitants, was mentioned for the first time about 1000 years ago. This small town today  is “European Parfume Centre” with 30 parfume factories that work out yearly more then 10.000 tons of perfume plants, mostly from Bulgaria, Morocco, India and Turkey.

Of course Grasse has a Rugby club – the Veterans of Ruby Tourists that organize since six years Parfume Rugby Tournament.

2014 edition with four teams U50 played the whole morning and before the lunchtime two Over 50s teams enjoyed playing rugby to “awake the desire” for good French food and wines.

Tournament ended in the afternoon with awarding “The winner” – Cameleons from St. Laurance (for the second time) with “Trophée Parfum de Rugby” for their Rugby philosophy and the approach to the Veteran sports.

Thierry Dias sent us this “small photos” gallery . . . enjoy it “smelling the parfume of the Tournament”.
