TWENTY YEARS OF OLD RUGBY IN FLORENCE

Saturday, May 10th 2014 in Florence was held the Veterans rugby tournament on occasion of 20th anniversary of Old Rugby home team "I Ribolliti". Celebrating Tournament was attended by Il Capitolina (Rome), I Pirati ( Livorno ) , I Passatelli (Ravenna ) , I Cavalieri di S.Giorgio (Genova) and I Muccati, an Ivitation team with veteran players mainly from the north part of Italy.
The tournament began with a match between the I Ribollitti over 50 team and a mixed Selection of all other participating teams , after that game all other teams played “round a Robin” matches , but in “Age Category” over 35 this time.
The favourable weather conditions and fair play of the players have done that the day “passed” with lot of fun and satisfaction being able to contribute the this Celebration. It is to be reported that in Capitolina Team played Claudio Tinar, an Old glory of Italian National team.
Finally all teams “participated the third halftime with “river of beer”, songs and good food...
