OLDIES "INVASION"
ON ROVIGO

14th edition of Old Rugby Rovigo Tournament, known under the name "Cittá di Rovigo", brought together 14 teams "from all parts of Italy" - from Milano, Livorno, Rozzano, Genova, Udine, Padova, Monselice, Bolzano, Firenze, Cologno Monzese and Ascoli.

This time the Tournament had been organized in co-operation between hosts  A.S. "I veci del Rugby" and Delta Rugby Rovigo, Lottery Monti. The usual patron of the Event was Rovigo Comunity . . . 

Fabrizio Frezzato, the "coach" of red-blues and responsible for this  traditional Tournament from the very begining, was more than satisfied: "We arrived at the 14th edition of our tournament, and we can realize that in all these years we progressed. Now we can say , with proud that we are the reference for Oldies rugby in Italy. We had more than 400 players on the pitches, organisation was functioning as Suisse-clock and the passion - commitment - wish of all the participants still to play their favourite game was really amazing and impressive. 

What me personally satisfies is the fact that the Fair - Play and the Fun & Friendship & Fraternity  dominated our whole event.

We thank EVRA - European Veteran Rugby Association - that inlcuded our tournament again in the Licor Beirao European Series, as well as for the special EVRA Series plaque, reminding us on our biggest ever tournament."
