OLDIES IN BARCELONA

Heidelberger Ruderklub 1872. e.V. Rugby Oldies spent a pleasant weekend in Barcelona hosted by King´s Pebrots, Spanish most famous veteran club founded in 1983 as the Association of Rugby Veterans of Barcelona. Club members are former players from BUC, Club Natació Barcelona, Picadero, FC Barcelona, Montjuic, Universitari, Poble Nou, Hospitalet, Sant Boi and others . . .

"Barca Pebrots“ had participated many World and European festivals in last 29 years and Oldies teams from Heidelberg, not only HRK, have a long tradition in visiting rugby friends not only in Spain, but in Portugal too (Lisboa, Porto, Évora, Coimbra etc).

The game itself showed the best sides of former, also international players and the "third half“ with Catalan food and flair impressed the German guests again and again.
 
Special honour has been given to 93 years old (!) King´s Pebrots player (photo) who is "still going strong . . .“
