After the years of preparation and various "projects" Veneto Old Rugby Committee, together with nine veteran clubs, presented last October with great satisfaction the start of the 1st Italian Old Rugby "Championships".

Sesto Fiorentino, founded in 7th century BC by the Romans as sextus ab urbe lapis ( "Sixth mile from Town Milestone" ), today with its 50.000 inhabitants and the Rugby club since 1982 joined recently with their veterans EVRA and the European veteran rugby activities.
The "Old Rugby group" aims to be the landmark for the generations of players who quitted, but still would like to continue playing their favourite game.
