To celebrate their 10th anniversary Mantova Old Rugby players and members organised “Torneo Salamella 2014”, as EVRA European Seres Veteran tournament, with the participation of rugby friends from Old Beck´s Reggio Emilia, Armata Brancaleon (Mirano), Rugby Veterans Modena,  I Ribolitti (Firenze) and Cavallo di Bastoni Old Rugby (Ferarra).

Warm, bright and sunny spring day, as well as excellent pitches at Centro Sportivo Italiano Mantova contributed to the “full enjoyment” when playing veteran rugby . . .Senatori Virgiliani Vice-president Batista Berra, that is paralized after the neck injury when playing rugby 15 years ago, welcomed the guests - Sports Dept. representative Massimo Rima, the President of Mantova RC Paolo Pizzi, as well as the Vice-president Louis Miserocchi, also the Club doctor.

For the excellent and long “third halftime”, of this important event for Mantova Rugby, Senatori Virgiliani and their President and player Alessandro Gobbi would like to thanks to the numerous sponsors, like Taverna del Duca, Showrooms Andrea Moretti, Othopedic Gains Marcelo Fanti, Agriturismo Al Laghet, Carlsberg Horeca, Panifico Truzzi, Montaldi Meats, Pumpkin and Cranberries Farm Marzia Sabattini, Risto Bar “Time Out”, Fruit & Vegetables Marco Sangli, Ristobar “Old Slaughterhouse”, Gemma & Pasolini Tires Lorenzo Fontanesi and Rebel Hair Styling Erika E. The next Veteran meeting in Mantova is in October at 8th Torneo Salami, Sausages & Oval Ball . . .  “Long live the Old, long live our Rugby” as Alessandro wrote in his “report”.
