Last month the small rugby club in Krusevac (Serbia) celebrated its 30th anniversary.

On that occasion they organised also the veteran game of combined teams RC Krusevac / RC Nis vs. RC Dinamo / RC Starcevo. The first rugby ball that had been brought to this Town by Dragan Vujasinovic (former player of RC "Partizan, Belgrade) in October 1982, has been used for the Kick-off at this celebration game.

Being army officer Dragan formed the Rugby section the same year, that later become organised club - "7. Juli“, now with the new name RC "Krusevac“. One of the rugby pioneers Sinisa Kresovic presented, before the veteran game, the rugby jersey from 1983, when the first game ever had been played by local Club in Nis vs. RC "Student“.

There were two "Over 70´s“ playing this celebration match: Andrija Parcetic (1941) from RC "Dinamo“ - Pancevo, one of the first Yugoslav National players from 1968 and Milorad Filipovic (1942) from Nis. Filipovic, who played for longer time in France, and returning to Nis founded with his friend Angel Petrov rugby club "Student“ in 1981.

Delighted with this first game after so many years, now as the veterans, the RC "Krusevac“ and RC "Student“ Nis started to prepare for the year 2013 to join European Veterans at EVRA Festival in Esztergom (Hungary).
