LICOR BEIRAO EUROPEAN EVENT IN FONTANAFREDDA
Ideal weather conditions (cloudy with 24°C) and soft grass pitch at Fontanafredda Town Stadium, when Italy have beaten Canada in the test-match a couple a years ago, "awaked“ great enthusiasm to play by all participants at this "biggest international“ Licor Beirao Tournament within European Series 2011.
Teams from four countries took part - Old Lions and Z.V.R.K. (both Zagreb, Croatia), Esztergomi Vitezéki Suzuki RFC Vets (Hungary), Slovenija Oldies (Ljubljana) and Red&Blu Colleferro Vets, Old Brescia Ponderosa, Fossili Dolomitici (Belluno) and Il Pagnacco - all Italy.
Under EVRA Laws of the Veteran Game teams have played to get the "title“ The Winner of Fontanafredda.
After altogether 18 games the final match between Esztergomi Vets and Old Lions Zagreb ended with the Hungarian win.
Fontanafredda Cup has been presented to the Esztergomi Vitezéki president Neuzer András and the Team Captain by EVRA President Tomás Espinosa Lidón (Spain).
