In front of 3.000 spectators at the Fritz – Grunebaum - Sportpark in Heidelberg (Germany) in occasion of European Nations Cup – Division 1 B game, Germany vs. Czech Republic, rugby veterans from Czech Republic and Germany (RBW) in age from 35 to 75 years had demonstrated “rugby skills of the past century”.
This pre-match was one of EVRA Promotional games, next week to be followed by the Hungarian Old Boys vs. Austria Oldies game in Esztergom. European Veteran Rugby Association proposes to the EU Rugby unions to “introduce into the programme” such games when their national sides play at home.
Better promotion of the Veteran sports – Rugby one can not imagine . . .
EVRA Secretary, Marko Protega used the opportunity in Heidelberg to present to the both captains, Martin Vesely (Czech team) and Jorge Soteras (German/RBW Team) EVRA plagues, especially made for this promotional game.
