FIRST SUCCESS

Old Rugby Club from Sesto Fiorentino (Italy) organised successfully their first European Series tournament "Triangolare della Trippa e Lampredotto".
 
The day of "hard" competition on the field followed by the pleasant third-half gathering of I Passatelli (Ravena), Modena Veterans and the host team of Sesto Fiorentino prooved once again what does it mean playing Veteran - Golden Oldies rugby - Fun, Friendship and Fraternity . . .
"We have many reasons to be satisfied with the outcome of the tournament" said the event organisers Carlo Barbieri and Dario di Feo, "on the field, the teams demonstrated tenacity and loyalty, spirited confrontation and respect for the rules and the opponennts.  For those watching the games it was an illustration of how rugby can remain a sport for all ages without losing its competitive edge".

The third-halftime was an unqualified success,  the viewing of a Six-Nations match followed by the dinner "fueled" with the rugby spirit by all those present.
The teams mixed well together and new friendships were established . . .
 
At the end of the day the two organisers  thanked all those who helped - the Club management, the young volunteers, European Veteran Rugby Associaiton including the Tournament into the EU Series . .  and the cooks, their combined efforts enabled the successful and enjoyable event.
