Old Boys Hungary, combined team of Hungarian Rugby Union, the organisers of EVRA European Festival next year in Esztergom (June 20-23rd) and Galicia Old Boys (Spain), actual holder of Jeff Butterfield Award, the most precious EVRA European Festival Prize, had played the closing game of Trieste EGOR Festival two months ago.
The game was played at Prosecco Sports Centre where the Regional Government of Friuli - Venezia - Giulia invested for the future sports events & activities - mostly based on soccer, rugby and baseball . . .
This game (click on Photos to see more . . .) was the start of the promotional campaign of EVRA and Hungarian Rugby Union for Esztergom 2013 European Festival.
Two years ago Trieste Festival Organising Committee asked EVRA to help "bringing“ teams to Italy . . . the fact that more than one quarter of all teams in Trieste was EVRA members (11) had shown that the "promise to help for the benefit of European Veteran Rugby“ has been kept.
It will be interesting to see how will now act the organisers of EGOR Festival (2013) in Prague (Czech Republic), especially after the recent decision to change the rhythm of EGOR Festivals from even (2012) to odd (start in 2013) years . . .
It will be even more interesting to see the result as this "change“ coincides with the date of EVRA European Festival - June 2013. EVRA holds regularly European festivals in odd years (2011, 2013, 2015 etc), having announced 2013 Festival in Hungary already after 2011 European Festival held in Cascais (Portugal).
