ITALY - OLD RUGBY
FESTIVAL OF VETERAN

Welcome Party took place at the picturesque part of Old town - Piazza del Duomo, with local musicians, plenty of original food and drinks, "interrupted" by welcome speeches of the Organisers and the Town representatives.

Farewell Dinner was at the open area of ASD Belluno Club house, with the enormous engagement of Rugby club volunteers, who were "on the participants disposal" also during the whole Event.

At the end the local Organising committee, headed by Fabio dell Corte (I Fossili Old Rugby Club Chairman), made the awards presentation for all participating teams. EVRA Vice-President Elio De Anna (Cordenons) thanked all the teams for making this Event successful and  together with EVRA Secretary Marko Protega (Heidelberg) presented  Licor Beirao EU Series plagues to the host team (I Fossili) that celebrated their 30th anniversary, to the Oldest Torneo Player - Comunale Giuseppe (84) form Sicilia 50 team and to Belluno Town Representative - Assessore Sport Giannone Biagio

Very relaxed atmosphere, Fair play attitude, "mixed approach" to the veteran rugby (Under 50s vets) with still "eager to win" and the great hospitality of the hosts dominated to whole three days of the "Torneo". Saying in one sentence "it was the Event of the Year" in this Town, situated at the doors of the Dolomiti mountains - UNESCO World Heritage . . .

EVRA Select XV Over 50s Team had been composed of the players from Hungary (Budapest, Kecskemet, Diósd, Érd), Romania (Bucharest), France (Marseille), Germany (Heidelberg) and Italy (Avezzano, Catania, Cosenza, Messina, Milano, Padova, Pesaro, Roma and Sardegna). The Head of EVRA delegation was Elio De Anna (Cordenons), Team Manager Marko Protega (Heidelberg) and the Team Captain Rosario Biunno (Milano) - EVRA Representative for Italy.
