Dear rugby friends all over the Europe,
We will be very honoured to welcome you all at the beautiful village of Cascais for the 1st European Veterans Rugby Association (EVRA) Festival to be held in September, 7-10. 2011.
While memorizing the spirit of rugby through awarding one of the teams with Jeff Butterfield Award - the most precious Festival prize, we wiill provide you plenty of occasions for playing your beloved sport and moments of togetherness in a fantastic atmosphere and an amazing venue.
In spite of not being a mass sport, rugby is gaining considerable momentum in Portugal following the national squads´ first participation in a Rugby World Cup in France and renowned performances in the Sevens World Series.
But even before, Cascais had already a very strong word in Portuguese Rugby, matching in a excellent combination our enthusiastic way of living, welcoming tradition, touristic lifestyle and many other attributes with very competitive, successful and always delightful to watch rugby teams, making it the perfect venue for realizing this 1st EVRA Festival!
