The Captain is
70 years old

Ciudad de Ferrol in Galicia (Spain) was the place where for the sixth time "a veteran tournament" had been organised . . . this time to honour the captain Maxi Casares (70), also the founder of Galicia Old Boys veteran club in 1983 . . .

More than 120 players from Asturias, CD Zalaeta, CRAT Corunha, Derecho Vets Madrid, Galicia Old Boys and Ferrol RC enjoyed excellent rugby-weather conditions playing their favourite game . . . and meeting again old rugby friends.

During the "thrid halftime" celebraties mutual presents had been exchanged, especilly the Captain had been honoured with special EVRA Licor Beirao European Series plague, the President Tomás Espinosa Lidón presented it personally to "our" Maxi . . . 

EVRA President presented also the EVRA Series plague to the Ferrol RC for organizing again successfully this traditional tournament.

The Oldest playing participant was D. Lucio Alonso (68), from Asturias veteran team, had been awarded with EVRA replica rugby jersey, produced and sponsored by VIATOR (Elche), one of EVRA Main sponsors.
